About Me
Born in Leicester, bred in Barcelona & now living in Yorkshire; I’m a recent graduate of Leeds Arts’ Fashion Branding with Communication. Coming from a multicultural family; I was spoken to in both English & Spanish from the moment I took my first breath and most importantly, I was introduced – very early on – to the chameleon that is communication. At the age of 6, I wrote a poem for my parent’s wedding – to attest to their forever love. At the age of 7, I wrote a goodbye letter to my best friend – expressing how much I’d miss him from my new home in Spain. At the age of 9, I developed a full-fledged obsession with ‘Como tú’ magazines – running to my local kiosk every week to base my entire personality on the contents inside. At the age of 11, I kept a locked diary where I’d note anecdotes of my day – not missing a single thought or emotion. At the age of 14, I wrote a 2-page letter to my headmaster – disputing our school’s outrageous uniform policy. At the age of 17, I bought my first ever manifestation journal – writing in present tense about the future I dreamed of. At the age of 19, I left countless hidden sticky-notes around my family home for my parents and sister to find whilst I was away at university. And at the age of 21, I am writing this to you.
In all of her many forms, Communication is always there. Now I’m seeking to return the favor through my work of journalism.
